A new era begins for Toyota after Eiji Toyoda

Toyota was actually separated from its parent company Toyoda Automatic Loom Works in 1937. It was Kiichiro Toyoda who took an initiative of making his own business. Eiji Toyoda was a cousin of Kiichiro Toyoda. He put in a lot of hard work and dedication towards making the organization what it is today. Most of the bold decisions of this organization had to be taken by Eiji Toyoda.

He served as President of Toyota from 1967 to 1982. In these 15 years the company moved leaps and bounds from being just a Japanese car maker to being known as a reputed world class automobile company.
He died at a golden age of 100. He laid the foundations of Toyota opening up their first factory in America.

He believed in producing only what was best. Under his guidance Toyota moved on from being a producer of economic machines to making exclusive cars that the organization can boast off today. His reign saw some of the most outstanding cars in history of automobile industry. Some of his finest works are in existence even today. We could take a walk down memory lane to see what he had achieved in his life.

Toyota GT 2000 was one of many cars made under his supervision. It was a beginning of a new era for Toyota. He stepped up the mechanism. This is one car, it is a classic and can be an antique collection. It was able to reach the global audience when it was used in a "BOND" movie. However it could be sad that only 337 units of this car were produced in three years of production.

The next vision that Eiji Toyoda had was Toyota Corolla. This car looks simple but backs down serious power. It may not have the best of looks but it sold like hot cakes. Ever since it was made around 30 million units were sold by the company.

Toyota Celica was a great car. The 1.6 liter engine gives this car a lot of speed and power. This car did go through a lot of innovations in the years of its existence. The car may not be the most fancy of the lot but has a great reputation. This car laid the foundation of the ever known Toyota Supra.

The heavy sized vehicles did not have much of a liking back then until Eiji Toyoda came across with a stunning idea of making the Toyota Land Cruisers. These cars had a lot to offer. Brute power and strength was what this car demonstrated. This was a perfect car to take on any kind of roads.

Toyota Camry was one trademark that the company produced. This car was a mixed with a touch from Celica in 1980 but then the car stood alone as the Toyota Camry as Celica was extinct. This car turned out to be an iconic model inspired by Eiji Toyoda.
