2016 Chevrolet Camaro to take on 2015 Ford Mustang
|   Wednesday, July 30, 2014
Chevrolet Camaro is going to be re-released in 2016; right after Ford Mustang is being re released in 2015. This can be considered a strong sales move and a chance of rejuvenation for all automobile enthusiasts. As with any re releases, there is going to be some good changes on this one as well.

Chevrolet Camaro can always be considered a high end car. There are multiple awesome features on the car that are appealing to a major sector of the society.
It is one of the most beautifully designed cars, with a number of options available on almost all aspects.

First of all, there might be changes in the very platform on which this car is going to rest. There was a standard Zeta platform on which Chevrolet was priory heavily dependent. Now there is going to be an all new Alpha underpinning platform. There are a number of advantages of employing the new platform.

There might be changes to the wheelbase that Chevrolet Camaro is going to be using. It is going to be 7.5 inches longer than what Mustang currently is. However, with a new platform and wheelbase, it is going to be an inch shorter than what Dodge has now.

There might be a performance boost because of these changes. Overall weight, commonly referred to as tow weight, is going to go down with a change in platform and wheelbase. So there will be less weight for the engine to pull which might increase pickup speed and top speed.

There are major changes to the power train that can be expected on 2016 Chevrolet Camaro as well. Power train is the most important aspect of any automobile, and having a few variants is always good as the car then becomes adaptable to different terrains and situations.

Making changes to base variation can never be expected of GM. So a V6 engine with capacity of 3.6 liters is going to be present. For more power, a V8 with capacity of 6.2 liter also remains unchanged. So the range of power output is not going to vary by much.

However, there is going to be more variations as a new four cylinder engine in rumors. A turbocharged four cylinder engine from ATS with a capacity of 2 liters is going to fill in the gap that was present for mid range. This might attract new customer base for 2016 Chevrolet Camaro.

Retro style is still GM's thing, but subtle changes can be expected on the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro. It is in competition with Ford Mustang, one of the most beautifully designed car, and so GM has to increase their standards. However there is a veil on how exactly this car is going to look when it finally rolls off production.

Authorities at GM are being very secretive on this matter. They might be afraid of intellectual plagiarism, and can also be playing to keep the suspense up. Whatever may be the case, enthusiasts have to wait till 2016 to see this one.
