Toyota certainly has a well developed list of plans for the next two years. We are very eager to find out more about the new FCR-V fuel cell concept which will be firstly integrated on an innovative fuel cell vehicle planned to be launched in 2015. Planning on creating the next generation vehicles is a difficult task indeed so we understand that teasing videos and sneak peaks will only be possible in a while.

Further details will be released to the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show together with the public disclosure of a brand new hybrid system for the Toyota Prius.
It seems that the hydrogen fuel is planned to take over the engine and the classical fuel tank will be replace by a high pressure hydrogen tank.

The company has successfully accomplished an equally sharing of the fuel cell stack size and, at the same time, managed to double the power density up to 3.0KW per liter.

The fact that the fuel cell stack has been halved, the practicality has been increased and cost reduction is indeed an actual happening possibility as the entire hydrogen fuel cell system will be inserted under the floor. This also means that the interior space will not be affected by these changes.

420 miles is the maximum driving range that was declared as maximum reached while testing the FCV-R concept. Practically, specialists have stated the only a 300 miles is possible in such a way as the only waste to be the water vapors.

Car manufacturers have always shown great interest towards the vehicles powered by hydrogen as they give emissions free motoring and are famous for the low operating costs. The base price that has just been estimated for the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle is £70,000, which seems a fair price for all the incredibly new and innovative features that are brought by the hydrogen vehicle.

If we take into account the future predictions from Toyota, in 2020 the FCHV will be seen everywhere in the world and hydrogen refueling stations will replace many of the petrol fuel ones.

It seems that the Toyota's plans for the next years include the manufacture of several types of powerful and efficient hybrids in order to reduce the emissions and costs at the same time. There is also a brand new powertrain range which will be included on the new models of Toyota and Lexus.

The next generation vehicles powered by hydrogen are a certain source of energy which totally excludes the CO2 emissions. What is more, the new source can be created by a large range of sources and it also can be effortlessly transported or stored. The new fuel cell vehicle is a practical and proficient vehicle, a bold project from Toyota, planned to be launched in 2015.

All the enthusiasts and customers interested in environmental friendly vehicles should wait just a few days until the Frankfurt Motor Show when Toyota will come up with a set of juicy details on the upcoming technology and models.
