2015 Detroit Auto Show hosted the evolutionary Audi Q7
|   Saturday, February 14, 2015
The upcoming Audi's Q7 has retained the silhouette of current version but has adopted so many latest technologies and unique interior and exterior designs. At its very front, there is a rendition with sharper radiator grille of single frame adopted from the facelifted Q3. Also the headlights are shaped angular packed with latest LED techs. It debuted in recently held Detroit's Auto show of 2015 in North America.

As it is an updated version, hence it will adopt many parts from previous version.
For example, its wide tailgate is carried over in 2016 version. But its design has been changed to a bit like chiseled designed having rectangular rear lamps. The chrome trims are located at door bottoms each side and aluminum rails are at the roof with premium colors and finishing in overall design.

Thought Q7 has already been released before but it is only the European version only. Till date, not much of its features have been disclosed but after its launch in Detroit live auto show in North America many of its features have been revealed. Audi has managed to release as much as 716 pounds from its previous version to make this a lighter weighing vehicle and currently its 3.0 liter TDI version weighs 4,398 pounds. Behind losing so many weights, the secret is behind having aluminum materials in its doors, rear, hood and front as well.

Audi has announced that the upcoming Q7 will produce 252 horsepower from its 2.0 liter based four cylinder engine for the models releasing in Asian and United Stated markets. Its power train will have an e-Tron Quattro for the first time but only for the Europe customers. Its hybrid plug in is built with high technologies which can allow all wheeled drive and can run on a battery of lithium ion. For one time it can run up to 35 miles with this battery capacity. It sprints from standing still to 62 miles per hour in 6 seconds and can be managed a top speed nearly 140 miles per hour.

Audi decided not change its height but changed the rest shape. However, the shape has gone a bit slippery since a large aerodynamic part has been installed on it including a small spoiler close to its back axle. At the rear, the cargo's load height is 1.8 inches which makes accessing the cargo a lot easier. It has recorded a fuel efficiency of 26 percent which is really appreciable.

Audi is now planning to make two more crossovers in near future which will reposition the 2016 Q7. There may be new Q6 coming to move Q7 upscale to get more bookings. However, reports say there is more chance of the new Q8 to get launched towards 2017 to make flagship of SUV queue of Audi.

The 2016 Audi Q7 has already been launched in the Detroit Auto Show, 2015 and the officials have declared that it will go on to sales after few days. That will end the manufacturing the current version of Q7 which had made a good business up to now.
