2014 Mercedes Benz S65 AMG Spotted at a Photo Shoot
|   Tuesday, September 03, 2013
Mercedes Benz is currently testing the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG on road without any camouflage apart from a small cover over the S65 AMG logo. This vehicle is powered by a V12 from AMG, which is also behind most of the vehicles in the S Class. Although rumor has it that Mercedes Benz plans on launching this vehicle at the 2013 Los Angeles Motor Show this November, its untimely appearance on public road does question the motives of the company.

The Mercedes Benz S65 AMG was spotted recently at the Dutch city of Rotterdam where the 2014 Maserati Ghibli was spotted as well during the course of a photo shoot. To differentiate the 2014 S65 AMG from its V8 cousins, the designers have gone a step ahead and added the front grille, bumpers and shiny new mesh work. Multi spoke alloys and air vents have been added to the car to enhance the visual aesthetics of the ride.

V12 Bi Turbo badges have also been added to the rear section and side panels of the car and this gives it a renewed appeal. A 6.0 liter turbo charged V12 engine is currently powering the S65 AMG and this is an improvement over the V8 engine powering the last generation. The car now generates close to 577 BHP while the vehicle is capable of accelerating from 0 – 60 MPH within 3.9 seconds. Mercedes Benz officials claim a top speed of 186 MPH although a higher powered version is expected to develop 44 additional BHP.

This is set to sport a higher top speed although the officials are tightlipped about the specification and other information about the car. The S65 AMG will sport 4 MATIC All Wheel Drive along with a seven speed automatic transmission system. Advanced weight saving measures has also been added to the car along with the IWC clock. External modifications distinguish the S65 AMG from the S63 although both vehicles have their specific list of features which makes both interesting in their own fields.

Use of chrome has been intensified and this is always a good thing on a luxury vehicle such as the S65 AMG. Although the interior has not been revealed, it is expected to be the best in terms of designing and quality of the parts considering the fact that the S Class is the most superior class of vehicle in the Mercedes Benz lineup. Engineers at AMG have strived to make the new batch of vehicles fuel and environment conscious apart from powerful and this has led to the formation and development of a new breed of engines.

The S65 AMG was never meant to be a driver's car. In fact, it was always a chauffeur driven vehicle. However, the driving aspects of this vehicle have been enhanced and this should pair well with the general high quality of the luxuries of the vehicle. With the general wheel base and dimension having been increased. The S65 AMG is set to be a huge hit when it launches by year end.
