2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe: Advanced and Cost Effective
|   Monday, May 13, 2013
The 2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe has been one of the discussion points in recent times. The wheel base of the 5 Series, the 6 Series relative width, and the cost effectiveness as much as of the 7 Series are the factors that lead to the car already being popular.

For the cost price, it is $113,000 without taxes, and $115,195 with the taxes and for the starters. The 2014 Audi RS7 and the Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG are having almost the same price range.

M6 is having a debatable front end look, while the aero exterior bits of the M trim are quite appealing.
The kidney grille installed may seem having an outdated style, whereas the new recessed headlight units of the 6 series are just above average. The 50-pound weighing aero roof deserves a special mention, which helps in lowering the center of gravity of the cars.
The sweet units of the car are certainly the new and standard M 433 20-inch wheels having five-double spoke. The lightweight carbon fiber diffuser of the M6 takes the attention of the technology lovers, which is having the reinforced plastic rear design.

The markets are already on the heights for the Gran Coupe despite it being a little too expensive. All the credit goes to the launch event planners and the organizers for sure. It can be noticed that the designers have tried their bit to live up to the expectations of the markets in terms of quality.

As far as the speed of the exquisite autobahn is concerned, the 553 horses and the turbocharged torque measuring 502 pound-feet are worked with the automated dual-clutch gearbox having seven-speed M signature. The car has the ability to have the pickup of 60 miles per hour within 4.1 seconds, and a top speed of 190 miles per hour.

The M6 Gran Coupe is said to be the flagship model of M. It is a contradictory model in a few means, and is good enough to enhance the wish for the launch of M7. The overall presentation of the car by its looks is quite able to overshadow the lack of quality in some senses. It can be said that the developers have somewhat overachieved due to the proper marketing prospects.

At the end of the day, the M6 Gran Coupe provides a great driving experience only on the specific roadways. The rear end design and the understeer positioning provide a little bit of comfort for the driver. The steering system is kept hydraulic, which is another positive sign. The dynamic functions such as steering, traction, suspension and shift mapping can be accessed at the console around the gearshift.

This has proved to be a complicated system interface, but other hands-on solutions are intuitive and user friendly. M6 Gran Coupe is comfortable smooth on the flat roadways, but difficult during the curves. On the whole, the four-door coupe deserves half the point of the full marks, and a good niche for the rich racers particularly.
