2014 BMW 2 series M235i set to rule the racing tracks in 2014

BMW has announced release of their entry level customer racecar, BMW M235i. It is going to replace the already existing BMW M3 GT4. Guessing from fact that this already existing entry level race car from BMW is quite astonishing, and yet it is being replaced, speaks loads about this new BMW M235i.

First of all, this is a serious race car from BMW. It is not a race car like designed coupe, although it is a part of BMW 2 series coupe of 2014. This car has been designed to perform on tracks and maybe fetch accolade for the company in major racing events all across this world.

This car is initially going to feature in racing events such as VLN Endurance Championship and also Nurburgring 24 hour. These are pretty gruesome racing events by themselves and a good performance in these events is undoubtedly going to prove the capacity of this car. Furthermore, it has planned to put this car to test in major international racing event as well and bring trophies for BMW. It going to be put to test under some of BMW's best drivers.

BMW authorities have said that not much effort was required to be put in, in order to make this a good and profitable race car. This car has been priced somewhere in the range of 80 thousand US dollars, and that also without taxes, which can be said to be pretty expensive, but then again, it is a race car, so somehow this price tag seems justified.

A weight loss was expected as a part of this modification that would render BMW M235i fit for racing, but no such significant weight loss is being noticed as per this new release. Also, a big boost in horsepower of this car was also expected, but it has been taken up to 333 horsepower only, increasing only marginally from previous value. These things come as a slight bit of disappointment for all automobile enthusiasts across the world.

A twin power turbocharged inline engine comes as a silver lining. It is a six cylinder engine and thus is capable of producing the 333hp. Also, there are some design issues that has been taken care of as a part of this modification. A new set of spoilers, carbon fiber mirror covers and other such intricate details that has been changed in this car is going to be minor help to its performance.

Automatic brake system and also traction of this car has been modified for better performance. This might help boost its performance, by reducing drag and also by enhancing high speed security of this car. Some other additional might be installed later for better performance.

It is expected that this BMW 2 series is going to be launched or unveiled in Detroit Auto Show of 2014. It is going to be a moment of truth for BMW, while they eagerly wait for the response of all automobile enthusiasts all across the world.
