2014 Alpina B4 Coupe inspired from BMW 4 Series Coupe
|   Saturday, September 14, 2013
Right after the public release of the latest BMW M4, which is going to happen soon, Alpina is going to make all the efforts in order to deliver its very own interpretation of the sports vehicle. It seems that the upcoming model is going to feature a lot of the characteristics of the BMW4 Series Coupe, also being motorized by a similar Bi-Turbo engine which was featured by the latest B3 sedan as well.

It seems that the upcoming B4 coupe will be powered by a six cylinder engine, outfitted with a pair of turbocharges which will actually be able to produce up to 410 hp and 442 pound feet of torque.
This means that the new M4 will be more powerful with the 415 hp.

However, while the B4 is going to receive an all wheel drive system, exactly like the B3 sedan, the M4 will be available with rear wheel drive configuration. This should not be regarded as an issue, the company has definitely decided to offer different characteristics in different types of vehicles.

Yet no further technical details have been offered to the public but it is quite likely that the B3 to have all the expected options and characteristics. Also, it is a certain fact that the B3 will be able to reach 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds and the official top speed that has been announced is 305 km/h.

Of course, spy photos with the camouflaged B4 have already been released. Judging by the exterior design, which is not so impressive, Alpina will definitely impress though other features such as engine performance.

Though no special modification have been brought to the upcoming Alpina, we have been able to spot some fresh features such as the sportier rear bumper, new and improved spoiler placed on the trunk and a brand new spoiler.

Some might actually consider these design modifications insufficient but we are very eager to find out the surprise that the engineers are preparing for this vehicle. It might actually be a lot more economical than we even think or even more powerful and economical at the same time. We will have to wait just a couple months until the debut.

The main competitor of the alpine is the Audi RS5 which is one of the most famous sports vehicles. The exterior design is indeed exclusive and smooth, made to impress and the 4.2 liter V8 engine is able to deliver 450 horsepower producing 317.15 pound feet of torque at up to 6,000 rpm. This engine performance makes the vehicle able to reach up to 60 mph is just 4.6 seconds and 173,98 mph without enabling the speed limiter.

So, it is going to be quite a tough competitor that Alpina will have to surpass rather through some incredible interior design options or high tech characteristics and fuel economy. Taking into account that the previous Alpina model, the D3, had the perfect combination between incredible engine performance and fuel economy, we seem to expect even more from this upcoming model.
