2013 Aston Martin Lagonda: a not so pretty face
|   Thursday, June 14, 2012
Aston Martin has always been known for its gorgeous vehicles but this latest concept by Aston Martin is a huge leap from it's sporty sleek cars to a huge bulky claimed not to be an SUV, which has received a lot of critique from designers all over the globe, who claim it to be not close to attractive where as the usual beauty vehicle Aston Martin does not seem to agree and is most probably going to send this concept version in to the production line so you might be seeing it around sometime soon, although do not get too disappointed to some this new concept is still very attractive.

With it's spacious outlook and apparently a cosy feel to the interior and hopefully all this uproar might be the same as the one before Porsche Cayenne which disappointed the fans of true Porsche spirit and generated an uproar, similar is the case here with the fans of true Aston martin spirit but yet Porsche Cayenne did spectacular business in the market which must have come as a surprise so Aston Martin still has a hope with this new 2013 Aston Martin Lagonda despite the cruel and brutal criticism it has attracted.

Another reason of this new concept launch by Aston Martin is most probably the effects of recession on the market of sports vehicles as well as their lack of influence on the Chinese market who though have a lot of wealth are not too keen on buying sports cars thus no work for Aston Martin there, by the launch of this Lagonda they aim to penetrate a market of cars less affected by the recession as well as implore the wealth of Chinese market.

Now moving on to the specifics about this 2013 Aston Martin Lagonda, the look of this new Lagonda is said my Aston Martin to be inspired from the Lagonda back in 1930's which was pretty sleek and sophisticated so it's kind of hard to see the similarity between the two as this one sports a huge exterior and looks like a mini van, it's overall pretty retro rather than the futuristic modern vehicle Aston Martin claims it to be.

The interior although not known much about in detail is very different from the usual Aston Martins with the front being driver focused and dash having two stacks and the back resembling the interior of a private plane, they even have some sort of cup holders around the head rests in the rear seat which is sort of bizarre and not exactly exciting but it is speculated that Lagonda's concept version might be redesigned before it goes into the production line which we all hope is true, keep your fingers crossed.

Under the hood is an offer of different power trains, it will be equipped with a V12 engine kit by Aston Martin with the capacity of 5.9 litres. The special thing about Lagonda is you can use any kind of engine in the hood, you have options from this V12 to a diesel engine to the soon to be available hybrid engine, these options will increase the off road quality of this Lagonda. Now finally the price of this 2013 is expected to be around $250,000 so keep your fingers crossed as to what might come out of the other end of the production pipe.
