The Audi A4 received five stars for occupant safety. The safety cage was slightly deformed, but it was minimal. Through adaptive airbags and seatbelts, the occupants well protected.
The safety of children was rewarded with four stars. In the collision, the dummies perfectly protected. According to EuroNCAP, the warning against the use of a child with airbag enabled not clear enough.
For pedestrian safety A4 got the two stars. The bumper offered good protection, but the bonnet was rated as predominantly poor.
