Jaguar is a British car manufacturer company that was founded in 1922 by William Lyons and his partner William Walmsley. Jaguar boosted its competition in the automobiles industry when it produced a series of conspicuous vehicles. Some of the vehicles that were singled out were: XK120 of 1949 which were later improved to XK 140 and XK150. In most cases when we hear of Jaguar we flash our minds to classy cars that are really expensive. Indeed this is the case when it comes to Jaguar as they boast with pride manufacturing most of the classy and beautiful cars that are in the market now.
Jaguar is also know to be involved in car racing activity just like Toyota, Honda, Ferrari etc. its involvement in the racing activity also helped them to gain the fame that they have right now. For instance, they won the Le Mans 24 hr race back in 1951 and also in 1953. It is also known to be involved in promoting activities that go on in the society as part of building their image towards the society.
Jaguar has various car models that it releases into the market e.g. Jaguar XF which is an executive car introduced in 2008 with the aim of replacing Jaguar S- type. XF received an award in the same year as- “the what car?” of the year and the overall best executive car of the year. Jaguar XF is of two different types i.e. one with 3.0 liter engine (V6) and 5.0 liter engine (V6). Jaguar XK was also introduced in 2006 as part of the best models to replace XK8.
The luxury car that Jaguar released in 1968 was the Jaguar XJ. It is a traditional vehicle but it is known for its class in terms of luxury. The car was later improved due to various critics from the public to the 4th generation XJ in 2009. The newly improved car is known to run at great speed and can accelerate up to 60km/h in less than 5 seconds. It operates on a 5.0 liter V8 engine which is responsible for its fast speed.
There were also other models that were manufactured in 2009 e.g. the S-type which was later replaced by XF due to its dependability problems. Jaguar X-type was introduced in 2001 and during this time the company was operating under the ownership of the Ford Company. In 1995 R models flogged the market with cars such as: XFR, XJR, XKR etc. These cars were known to have a high horse power of up to 320.
