The Sports concept Audi Q8 is a dynamic appearance with innovative propulsion system. Top sports models like the RS 5 Coupe, RS 3 Sportback and SQ5 TFSI join the parade and last we have Audi A5 Sportback g-tron, an environmentally friendly and uncompromising model.
Audi presented six new models at the Geneva International Salon. The world premiere are: Audi Q8 sports concept, powered by a 3-liter V6 TFSI with mild-hybrid system and the new RS 5 Coupe - a Gran Turismo RS model.
Its counterpart in motorsport, Audi RS 5 DTM, starts the new season with 500 hp. The sporting brand presentation at the Auto Show debut was accompanied by two innovations: Audi RS 3 Sportback and Audi SQ5 TFSI.
By launching the new Audi A5 Sportback g-tron, Audi presented one of the concepts for sustainable driving. CNG car combines dynamic performance, everyday driving adaptation and elegant design with low CO2 emissions.
For a sports concept, the Audi Q8 is truly revolutionary thanks to the concept of ultra-efficient powertrain. The combination of a 3.0 TFSI V6 engine with mild-hybrid system and a compressor, electrically driven, is a world first. The result: Q8 sport concept proves to be extremely capable in all situations. With 350 kW (476 hp) and 700 Nm of torque, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h (62.1 mph) in just 4.7 seconds - and reaches a top speed of 275 km / h (170.9 mph). Autonomy of over 1200 km makes the vehicle perfect for long-distance driving.
The new Audi RS 5 Coupe - a Gran Turismo RS model - brings together elegant aesthetics and good adaptation to everyday situations. Its engine is a completely redesigned 2.9 TFSI V6 turbo, generating 331 kW (450 hp) and 600 Nm of torque - 170 more than its predecessor. The top model accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.9 seconds, and by getting the optional dynamic equipment the RS reaches a speed of 280 km / h (174 mph).
Audi SQ5 TFSI is the top model of the Q5 line and obtains its power from the 3.0 turbo V6 with 260 kW (354 hp), delivering 500 Nm of torque (368.8 lb-ft) at just 1,370 rpm. This performance allows the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h (62.1 mph) in just 5.4 seconds. The Quattro all-wheel drive system and a quick change between the 8-speed tiptronic gearbox helps the dynamic steering control.
After the A3 Sportback g-tron and A4 Avant g-tron, the Audi A5 Sportback g-tron is the third model of the brand which works with natural gas. It is powered by a 2.0 TFSI with 125 kW (170 hp), which generates a torque of 270 Nm. The reservoir consists of four light weight compartments, with a capacity of 19 kg (41.9 lb).
The model has a range of 500 km when operating exclusively in CNG (compressed natural gas) variant. With the petrol tank of 25 liters, range increases to 950 km. On the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC), the A5 Sportback g-tron with S-tronic transmission only uses 3.8 kilograms of CNG per 100 kilometers, the equivalent of 100 grams of CO2 per kilometer.
