The famous auto-maker Honda is predicting a trouble situation for them who were unable to deliver upon their promise to the consumers. The California court has confirmed to give $10,000 upon a complaint if any women does found in her Honda Civic 2006 hybrid is not as fuel economy as the company promised for.
A Honda owner Heather Peters had got the same problem too and now she is finding some other individuals who had come through the same situation. She is trying to make a big movement against Honda who was unable to act upon their promise. Honda currently is under the worst nightmare for this issue. Many of such types of claims against Honda are also registered in the court of San Diego.
Heather Peters who was a former corporate attorney felt that by this issue she had to suffer a lot by adding fuel cost and trade-in values so she felt it is not a small issue many of the women like her might had the same problem too. She also felt that by claiming here to the court she can recover her additional cost incurred for the concerned matter.
There are such courts where individual can claim on such big companies like Heather Peters did and she also got the awarded money of $9,867 by such courts. On her trial she filed a statement on which she says that this company promised that this car would require one gallon per 50 miles however they have not mentioned that such conditions are on some assumptions that whether the car is not stopped at traffic signal or you don’t have to switch on the air conditioner for meeting this promise.
In the trial, her opponents form Honda motor, Neil Schmidt who is a technical specialist on Honda says that we don’t have option left, these fuel assumption tests are held under EPA which is conducted by the Government fuel economy testing.
A part form it EPA restricts the use of such type of stickers which may be used by Honda for achieving some better against their competitors.
Heather Peters has also introduced a web page to gather such type of Honda consumers who are having the same problem too. This situation is proving to become a hardship for the auto-maker Honda who might have to suffer from the loss of $8.5 millions in terms of payoff.
However according to Honda, they would definitely appeal against this unfair dealing. The company is very much worried about this matter and this shall bring too much of small claims against them from their different owners. Its just Heather Peters who make the Stodgy car manufacturer Honda under a great difficulty that might cause them to suffer form a big loss and there goodwill would also going to be affected by this little claim. That was the little claim but it can also create a flood situation in regards to huge filing over this issue. Honda must prepare for the defensive situation to meet this obligation in future.
