Geneva Motor Show 2010: Opel Flextreme GT / E Concept

The Opel Ampera is just the beginning, the Flextreme GT / E Concept shows the next step in the future of the brand.
The Opel Flextreme GT / E Concept combines an expressive design and efficient environmental performance with German precision technology. The 4.7 meters long Flextreme GT / E uses the electric E-REV technology with extensive autonomy, which will not only suitable for compact models but also for large and medium sized cars. The Flextreme GT / E Opel concept car shows that size does not matter if we want CO2-free driving.
The object-oriented design, the Flextreme GT / E ratio of just 0.22 a fairing, it would top speed over 200 km / h and amounts without consuming too much fuel. The Flextreme GT / E has a very low and wide look, with wing-shaped lights front and rear, a prominent nose, floating C-pillars and a muscular and chiselled body.
The weight of the Flextreme GT / E used to restrict the car from lightweight carbon composite panels, polycarbonate windows and structural elements in an aluminum alloy. Compared with conventional materials provide a weight saving of 40 percent, which further contributes to lower power consumption and greater operating range.
Under the hood of the Flextreme GT / E, we find the ground-breaking E-REV system of GM, which has been developed for Opel Ampera. The electric motor provides a peak power of 160 hp and 370 Nm torque available immediately, for good performance and a fierce sprint from 0 to 100 km / h in 9 seconds.
