According to the company data in 2010 they sold about 1.46 million automobiles and by the end of 2011 this data increased to 1.67 million indicating that their demand is increasing. In the auto show that was placed at Detroit the board member of BMW mentioned that 2011 proved to be one of the best years for BMW. They attained their clear cut target of 1.6 million of fast moving vehicles and the model was in much demand all over the world.
The quality and innovative feature they are providing are increasing with the demands of the consumers and due to which their sale is growing continuously. For 2011, the sale rose by 12.8 percent to 1.38 million by achieving a new record of best sale in its history. It is estimated that the main reason of this sale is their new product BMW X3. Their BMW X1 and BMW 5 series are also played a big role in increasing their sale in this year.
In US, BMW delivered 247,907 cars to their customers. During the first half of the year they felt that the demand of BMW 3 series model decreased therefore they did some surveys and changed their model and these changes successfully increases the sale of the vehicle during the second half of the year. MINI brand’s global sales also increased meanwhile and climbed 21.7 percent to the 285,060 vehicles. Company said that the U.S remains in its largest market for the MINI, by the U.K.
Rolls-Royce’s sales of BMW motor cars are also increasing and it hits new records in year 2011 during the last 107 years history. Sales of these cars increase to 30.5 percent increasing it by 3,538 cars. Sale of Motorrad also achieved new heights by beating every record from last 90 years in their history. Sale of BMW Motorrad increased by 6.4 percent in this year. They sold total 104, 286 vehicles in this year worldwide.
By the end of dec2011 company achieved new records in their history by improving a sale by 11.9 percent from last year. Sale of BMW brand vehicle’s also increased by 10.9 percent from last year. They sold about 158,125 vehicles more than the last year and beat every record. Increase in mini brand vehicles is maximum in year 2011 and it by 16.2 percent from the last year. Sale of their motorcycle’s also increased by 12.4 percent.
So by looking into the figures we can say that 2011 is the year of sale for BMW. They increased their sale in every sector.
