McLaren has got big plans for McLaren lovers and car enthusiasts alike at the Paris International Motor Show 2012 with the launch of the new supercar from its stables. McLaren is ready with the new P 12 Super car and this is probably one of the best examples of British technology and design.

The car has been showcased earlier at the recently concluded Concours d'Elegance at Pebble Beach where only a handful of lucky car buffs had the opportunity to view the car and McLaren is now providing this opportunity to every car lover by showcasing the super car at the Paris International Motor Shop which is just round the corner.

McLaren is already celebrating the launch and huge success of the MP4 12 C Spider and the P 12 super car is set to add more glamour to the celebration as well. The car is rumored to be called the McLaren 799 and the concept is the first actual structure of what the future car could look like.

The car is set to be launched just a few days later and speculations are piling up real quick. Inquiries have already started to pour in on McLaren and the company has done a good job so far in maintaining secrecy and keeping the hype alive.

However, teasers have being doing the rounds on the internet and if these are to be believed, the P 12 super car is surely a sight for sore eyes. With its vastly aerodynamic design, magnificent bodywork and awesome creativity, the P 12 could very well be McLaren’s next flagship model.
The car is expected to sport a similar 3.8 liter V8 super charged engine as that on the MP 4 12 C. However, this is also a rumor. The super car is expected to produce a whopping 1,000 HP due to the next generation Kinetic Energy Protection System which enhances the power output by adding another 200 HP.

The car actually produces 800 HP as that of the MP 4 12 C Spider and these figures have the capability to make the P 12 the fastest production lineup vehicle ever. The car accelerates from 0 – 100 km/h in less than 2.3 seconds however the top speed is not as dangerous as the Bugatti Veyron.
McLaren has in fact made it clear that it does not have an intention to cross the Veyron’s top speed and the main objective of McLaren is to come up with the world’s fastest street legal super sports car.

Fuel efficiency is also another thing of concern and McLaren promises that the figures will be quite unbelievable compared to normal super sports cars. The McLaren P 12 or the 799, has the potential to take on Porsche head on and both the companies are set to be locked in a battle once the car is launched.

The car is set to go through the production stages post December 2012 and hence the estimated delivery dates can be calculated to be around early 2014. The car is expected to be priced around $ 1.56 Million USD.
